The WSOF 3 Fight Card is Beginning to Take Shape
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada will play host to the WSOF 3 event to be held on Friday, June 14th. The upstart promotion had previously announced welterweights Josh Burkman and Jon Fitch as the headliners for their third event but today they began announcing more fights.
In the co-main event spot will be highly decorated kickboxing champion Tyrone Spong making his second professional MMA bout against fellow striker Angel DeAnda. Spong has 77 career professional kickboxing with a stunning 69-6-1, 1 NC record and made his successful MMA debut at the inaugural World Series of Fighting event back in November.
Also added to the night’s main card is a heavyweight bout between Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Rolles Gracie and the veteran striker Dave Huckaba. Gracie comes in on a five fight winning streak after suffering his only career lost at UFC 109. Huckaba is on a three fight streak and has previously fought under the Bellator, Shark Fights and Tachi Palace Fights banner.
Rounding out the main card will be undefeated prospect Justin Gaethje, who is coming off a TKO win against J.Z. Cavalcante at WSOF 2. He’ll be taking on Brian Cobb who defeated Ronys Torres via Split Decision at WSOF 1.
Slated for the WSOF 3 preliminary card are lightweights John Gunderson vs. Dan Lauzon and middleweights Krasimir Mladenov vs. Kendrick Miree. The rest of the prelims are still being assembled and should be announced soon
