Bellator announces November PPV with Questionable Main Event

Bellator MMA PPV Rampage vs TitoTwo MMA Legends, with a combined 0-6 record in their last six fights will headline the first-ever Bellator MMA PPV. Ok, so obviously Bellator MMA and Spike will not be using that tagline to sell the event, but the fact of the matter is its 100% true.

Former UFC champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Tito Ortiz met inside the Bellator MMA cage last night to announce their main event bout in the promotions first Pay Per View. The surprisingly tight kept secret was very refreshing but once that feeling wore off the MMA world let out a collective WTF!

For a promotion that had gone out of its way to proclaim they wouldn’t be a place for UFC cast-offs, it would seem they are doing just that. For possibly the biggest moment the promotion has ever had they are going with past their prime star power over their own home-grown champions in the headliners spot.

Lightweight champion Michael Chandler and welterweight champ Ben Askren remained undefeated last night with dominate performances yet again. While these two might still end up being part of the PPV main card, Bellator is missing a golden opportunity to showcase these guys as the face(s) of Bellator MMA.

Instead it’s Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (32-11) and the formerly retired Tito Ortiz (16-11-1) slated to headline the November 2nd PPV inside the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California. Information on the PPV as well as the fight card will be announced in the coming weeks. Until then let’s all keep our fingers crossed that neither fighter gets poisoned by the Japanese or cracks their skull……

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
