Florida’s number one promotion, XFC put together a fantastic show of regional and international talent tonight with XFC 24. There were plenty of explosive strikes, gutsy performances and hair-raising moments, so let’s check out the action below.
With three MMA events in the span of just over 24 hours this weekend, the sport will be on full display across many different platforms and networks.
With Nick Newell avoiding a losing battle and bowing out of the promotion, the XFC Lightweight Title is up for grabs, as Scott “Hot sauce” Holtzman faces veteran fighter John Mahlow in the XFC 24 main event. More shining stars of XFC are on tap as well, so let’s dig into the action and see what’s going down on Friday.
At XFC 24, fight fans will see the return of Eric “It’s a Wrap” Reynolds, when he takes on rising star Kevin “The Master of Cool” Forant in what could be easily viewed as a number one contender bout for the soon to be crowned new Lightweight Champion. The future of the Lightweight division becomes a lot clearer on June 14, at XFC 24: Collision Course, LIVE on AXS TV from the Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida.
Independence Day might be celebrated in July, but the XFC will be setting off fireworks June 14th, when Welterweight sensation Ricky Rainey answers the call to take on Middleweight iron man, Reggie Pena. Xtreme Fighting Championships guarantees all out warfare when the “Sniper” and the “Regulator” shoot it out in the center of the cage. Who will be left standing when the dust settles?
Now that the XFC and Nick Newell have both said their sides of the story the promotion has returned its focus on finding the odd man out, Scott Holtzman, an opponent for next month’s XFC 24.
The inspirational story of MMA Fighter Nick Newell has taken an unfortunate and rather surprising turn. After defeating Eric Reynolds and winning the XFC lightweight title in December, Newell was paired up against Scott Holtzman after he defeated Jason Hicks at XFC 22. Newell was scheduled to make his first title defense next months at XFC 24 against Holtzman but the champion has refused the fight.
