Mark Bocek Calls out George Sotiropolus after his win at UFC 124

Following his impressive first round submission of BJJ specialist Dustin Hazelett at UFC 124, Mark Bocek broke his silence and called out George Sotiropoulos. Minutes after handing Hazelett his third lose in a row; Bocek interrupted Joe Rogan to tell everyone he has the best BJJ in the lightweight division and wants the Aussie in Toronto.

Sotiropoulos is tentatively scheduled to fight Dennis Siver at UFC 127 in his home of Australia in February. The Toronto card (UFC 131) is two months after UFC 127 and the UFC and both fighters want to fight in their hometown so this fight seems unlikely to happen in Toronto.

Bocek would later state in a Post fight interview that he’d wait to prove his BJJ point against Sotiropoulos. So unless the stars align just right, Bocek will need to take care of business at UFC 131 and hope Sotiropoulos does as well to prove his point later in 2011.
