She won the Strikeforce bantamweight championship in March, successfully defended it in August and then became the first female champion in the UFC earlier this month. In 2013 Ronda Rousey (6-0) will make her UFC debut, where she will defend her bantamweight belt against Liz Carmouche in the UFC 157 main event. The historic event will happen on February 23rd in Anaheim, California. Among the current accolades, Rousey became the first American to win an Olympic medal in women judo when she won the Bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Though still young to the sport of MMA, Rousey has become one of the most popular fighters in the sport and being voted as the 43rd most desirable woman only further cements that popularity.
