The UFC has given fans plethora of main card worthy fights on Saturday’s UFC on Fox 5 and they all look to be worth your hard-earned money but wait, they’re free on Fox. As a bonus the card will be headlined by a lightweight title fight, so here’s a quick look at the entire UFC on FOX 5 fight card.
Saturday’s UFC on FOX 5 will be the fourth event this year on FOX and only the second time the network televised event will be headlined by a title fight. The first ever FOX card was headlined by the heavyweight title fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos but only featured one televised bout. UFC on FOX 5 will have the traditional four bouts on FOX is headlined by the lightweight champion Benson Henderson making his second title defense against Ultimate Fighter winner Nate Diaz.

This time, UFC on Fox brings up a top-notch card, featuring a Lightweight title bid between Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz, a contender fight between Shogun and Gustafsson, and a grudge match between Penn and MacDonald.

Fan favorite Mike Swick, has signed a four fight extension with the UFC and will face Matt Brown at UFC on Fox 5 on December 8th at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. Swick spread the news via. his twitter account (@officialswick). Swick last fought in August against DeMarques Johnson, earning his second knockout of the night honors with a second round KO.
As Promised by Dana White, (Following the controversial split decision win in his rematch against Frankie Edgar) Benson Henderson’s next title defense will not be another rematch. The next time he puts his belt on the line will be at UFC on Fox 5, December 8th against the infamous Nate Diaz. Though this will be one of the UFC’s last UFC events of the year, with these two fast pace fighters headlining, it probably won’t be the least. Both fighters are on an impressive win streak against notable fighters and have already stated that they are ready for war.
The lightweight division has become one of the deepest in the UFC, but that hasn’t stopped the promotion from reliving championship bouts with a constant stream of rematches. This time around it was the much-anticipated rematch between champion Benson Henderson and former champ Frankie Edgar.
UFC 150 took place this Saturday night in Denver, Colorado at the Pepsi Center, and on pay per view. In the main event, it was Benson Henderson who pulled off the split decision win to remain the lightweight champion. The first round clearly went to Henderson and the second and fifth round went to Edgar, but the third and fourth rounds were very close rounds. Although many fans seem to disagree, two of the three judges gave those middle rounds to Henderson to give him the split decision win. According to the UFC, Nate Diaz will now square off against Benson Henderson for the lightweight strap.

Due to a previously scheduled Arena Football game at the HP Pavilion, today’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins were held less than a mile away at the California Theater. The small theater was completely filled with cheering fans and all the fighters they came to see made weight.
