Updated fighter rankings

| November 24, 2009 | 1 Reply

With the busy MMA week behind us now the panel and I were finally able to get the rankings updated. With Jose Aldo defeating the featherweight champ Mike Brown he was the biggest move the time around. Jake Shields also made a big move into the Middleweight rankings with his win over Jason Miller to grab the vacant Strikeforce title. Shields now joins only Anderson Silva as the only fighters to appear twice on the rankings. There were also several close battles for position within the top five as Cain Velasquez, Rampage Jackson and Dan hardy all missed a spot in the top 5 be the slimmest of margins.

The panel rankings are made up of 5 other MMA fans plus myself but I’d like to add more members. The panel could use a few knowledgeable ladies to give the rankings a little more balance. If you would like to be a part of the panel please email me or talk to me via Twitter or Facebook.

- Current Panel members: Colin Timberlake, PJ Harrison, Matt Kent, Jacob Cummings & Dawna Gonzales

About the Author ()

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
