UFC Rio Press Conference Stare Down Pictures
We’re less than 48 hours away from the three top Brazilian Mixed Martial Artists taking center Octagon at the Ultimate Fighting Championships return to Brazil. Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira, Maurício Rua and Anderson Silva are the Pride (pun intended) of Brazil and will be closing out the UFC Rio (UFC 134).
Thursday the three were in attendance for the pre-fight press conference and after all was said and done the three stared face to face with their opponent.
Former UFC interim heavyweight champion Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira returns to action after an 18 month layoff to take on The Ultimate fighter season 10 runner-up, Brendan Schuab.
Two former light heavyweight champions, Maurício Rua and Forrest Griffin will rematch in the night co-main event. Griffin submitted Rua in the first meeting back at UFC 76 by rear naked choke in the third round.
The pound for pound best, Anderson Silva has won 14 in a row and the last lose on his record was from Yushin Okami. Making his ninth title defense, Silva will look to avenge the lose to Okami from six and a half years ago.
