UFC on FUEL TV 4: Munoz vs. Weidman Predictions
Just four days removed from Saturday’s UFC 148, the UFC returns to San Jose, California with the UFC on Fuel TV 4. The last time the UFC was inside the HP Pavilion was for UFC 139 last December which was headlined by one of the best fights of the year between Dan Henderson and Mauricio Rua.
Like Saturday’s UFC 148, the middleweight will also be headlining the UFC on Fuel TV 4 fight card. Mark Munoz takes on the undefeated Chris Weidman and depending on how pieces fall into place, the winner could potential earn a match up against the UFC middleweight champions Anderson Silva.
Since dropping down to 185 pounds Munoz has gone 7-1 with the only blemish being a split decision defeat to Yushin Okami in 2010. His opponent has won he’s first eight professional bouts and is 4-0 inside the Octagon. Both fighters have a strong wrestling base but Munoz has the power advantage and Weidman will have the better grappling.
UFC 148 wasn’t kind to the predictions as I went just 6-5 to bring the overall record to 105-79. The UFC on Fuel TV 4 card will not be an easy one to predict as it has several close tough bouts that could go either way. Adding to the degree of difficulty is the fact I see many of these fights going the distance, thus putting the decision in the hands of the unpredictable judges…..
