UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2 Salaries and Suspensions
Today the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the UFC 148 salaries as well as handing down their medical suspensions to half of the fight card. The 11 bout fight card had a total reported salary of $1.438 million and rumored gate of a new UFC record $7 million for shows in the United States.
UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2 took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and aired on Facebook, FX and Pay-per-view.
Of the suspended UFC 148 fighters, co-main event fighter Forrest Griffin, Dong Hyun Kim and Cody McKenzie were given the longest. Kim and Mckenzie suffered TKO losses while Griffin defeated Tito Ortiz but possibly suffered a jaw injury during the 15 minute bout.

Anderson Silva: [$200k/No Win Bonus] – Not Suspended
Chael Sonnen: [$50k] – Suspended until Aug. 7 with no contact until July 29 for nasal laceration
205 lbs.: Forrest Griffin defeated Tito Ortiz by Unanimous Decision
Forrest Griffin: [$125k/$150k] – Suspended until Aug. 22 with no contact until Aug. 12 for possible jaw injury. Additionally, must have CT scan of jaw and be cleared by doctor or no contest until Oct. 6

185 lbs.: Cung Le defeated Patrick Cote by Unanimous Decision
Cung Le: [$150k] – Suspended until Aug. 7 with no contact until July 29 for left eye laceration. Additionally, must have x-ray of right knee and right foot and be cleared by doctor or no contest until Oct. 6

170 lbs.: Demian Maia defeated Dong Hyun Kim by 1st rd. TKO

145 lbs.: Chad Mendes defeated Cody McKenzie by 1st rd. TKO

135 lbs.: Mike Easton defeated Ivan Menjivar by Unanimous Decision

155 lbs.: Melvin Guillard defeated Fabricio Camoes by Unanimous Decision
