They say you learn the most from your defeats and that losing makes you stronger but Ian Loveland took it to a new level. After losing back-to-back fights in the and being released, Loveland returned to action in May to capture the Tachi Palace Fights bantamweight championship with a late first round knockout.

Loveland returned to action last night to make his first title defense at Tachi Palace 14 against Casey Olson. His performance stole the show and capped off an exciting night of fights with another knockout victory, this time needing only 38 seconds. Loveland landed a head kick and followed it up with some ground and pound for the win.

The big win has the fans talking about a return to the big show for the 29-year-old fighter and with many top UFC bantamweights moving down to the new flyweight division they could be right.

The Tachi Palace Fights bantamweight title wasn’t the only belt up for grabs last night though. Georgi Karakhanyan retained his Tachi Palace Fights featherweight title with a dominant performance against American Top Team’s Micah Miller. Two of the three judges gave Karakhanyan all five rounds as the 27-year-old won his fifth straight fight.

The co-main event was one of only two bouts on the Tachi Palace Fights 14 fight card to go the distance as the other eight would end within the first two rounds.
