Despite another weekend without the UFC, last week was filled with MMA news and capped off with a busy weekend of fights. News dropped of two UFC 153 fighters testing positive following the event last week and the World Series of Fighting held its first event.

The MMA Rankings haven’t changed much over the last few months but as we enter the final two months of 2012 there are several fights slated that are sure to shake up the ranks. Last month only saw one ranked fighter enter the cage and that fight wasn’t even at his normal weight class. Saturday’s UFC 153 event in Brazil was one of the years best that had several great fights. With only six more events (free and PPV) this year for the Ultimate fighting Championship, UFC 153 re-kindled the notion that the Welterweight is most likely the toughest division the UFC has. Despite being stagnate at the top for most of the year, the welterweight division is heating up and two fighters at UFC 153 made huge statements.
Fighting out of San Jose,California’s famed AKA means you follow one basic principle: WIN. For UFC Welterweight Jon Fitch that wasn’t as attainable as it used to be.
Last night’s UFC 153 was another successful event held in Brazil. The fighters put on an entertaining night for the fans and of the 12 fights on the UFC 153 fight card, nine of them saw a Brazilian bring home the Victory.
The UFC is back in Rio tonight with a card full of Brazilians looking to put on a performance for the fans at UFC 153. The Brazilian fans saw the card get hit by the injury bug that scrapped the top two fights on the card but ultimately got more then they could have ever hoped for tonight.
