Climbing the ladder again – An interview with Jon Fitch

| January 24, 2010 | 1:15 pm | 1 Reply

During the Meet and greet yesterday at the UFC Gym grand opening I caught up with Welterweight contender Jon Fitch. Fitch has won three in a row after losing his first fight inside the UFC when he fought Georges St-Perre for the title at UFC 87. Fitch will next face Thiago Alves at UFC 111 in a rematch of their first meeting from 2006 where Fitch knocked out Alves with an upkick. Both fighters lost their title shots and are looking to get back to the top for another shot at the title.

Fitch had just completed a long autograph session downstairs and was nice  enough to talk with me about getting another shot at Georges St-Pierre, Thiago Alves and AKA.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.

wow, I probably wouldn’t have asked him anything involving him finishing fights more. He gets a lot of flack from fans as it is. But overall good interview.
