Dan Hardy Will Look to end Streak against Duane Ludwig

| February 22, 2012 | Reply

Returning to the octagon following a loss is never easy for a modern-day MMA competitor, but coming off of four consecutive losses seems downright impossible, on paper. UFC welterweight competitor and fan favorite Dan Hardy has seemingly achieved the improbable by keeping his UFC contract intact after dropping four straight contests in the UFC.

Aiding Hardy’s cause would be his spirited performances inside the octagon, where he always seems to bring it, and never backs down from a challenge. Hardy will be returning to action in May, and has verbally agreed to face Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig at UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Overeem on May 26th.

Duane Ludwig is a similar entity in the MMA community, in that he also has a feverish fan base that always tune in to see him do business. Ludwig is coming off a loss to Josh Neer at the UFC on FX 1: Miller vs. Guillard event, and as the holder of the fastest KO in UFC history he looks to get back in the mix in a big way if he can beat the always dangerous Hardy.

This welterweight match-up should serve as a terrific addition to the UFC 146 card, and with two fan favorites coming off of losses, who like to put on a show, we could be looking at a possible Fight of the Night award winner this Memorial day weekend.
