Coming up this Saturday night, The Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its return to Denver, Colorado as UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II comes to you live from inside the Pepsi Center. As has become the norm lately, a few fights have had to be shuffled around due to injuries. With the Pre-Fight Press Conference complete and the weigh-ins coming up today, let’s take a look at the Main Card fights and see how they break down.
Friday’s UFC on FX 4 will mark the FX Network’s fourth live event and presents a good addition to the fight weekends that also includes UFC 147. New Jersey will play host to the night’s action as many top UFC fighters look to advance their position in their respective divisions.
This weekend promises to deliver an exciting event split down the middle between Heavyweights on the UFC 146 Main Card, and the UFC 146 preliminary card which features many stars leading the fans into the PPV. With all the changes to the card from top to bottom, the UFC has had their hands full with this card, yet the extra hours they put in has produced yet another solid card. With Bellator’s Season Six winding down, we find ourselves with tournament finals, semi-finals, and a slew of tournament eliminators at Fridays Bellator 69. Bellator will kick off its Middleweight Tournament at tonight’s Bellator 61 from the Orleans Room Orleans Room at Horseshoe Riverdome in Bossier City, La. The Main Event will feature Miguel Falcao make his Bellator debut as he takes on Norman Paraisy.
The main card of tonight’s Bellator 60 in Hammond, Indiana at The Venue inside The Horseshoe Casino brings you night of featherweight action as current Bellator featherweight king Joe Warren defends his title against Pat Curran. The night will also feature the first round in the featherweight tournament to determine who will get the next title shot against the winner of the main event.
This Saturday, January 14, the UFC makes its triumphant re-return to the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for UFC 142: Aldo vs. Mendes. As was the case the last time the UFC was in Brazil (UFC 134), the Brazilians will take part in every fight and look to take advantage of the incredibly loud, supporting ”home team” crowd. At 134, the Brazilian fighters went 7-1 against non-Brazilian fighters, much to the enjoyment of their countrymen in the stands.
Every year, the UFC puts on a big card for New Year’s in Las Vegas. This Friday, December 30th, the MGM Grand Garden Arena will be home to UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem, a battle between two of the largest Heavyweights on the UFC roster.
