Despite another weekend without the UFC, last week was filled with MMA news and capped off with a busy weekend of fights. News dropped of two UFC 153 fighters testing positive following the event last week and the World Series of Fighting held its first event.
This week saw Bellator 78 and MFC 35, along with The Ultimate Fighter dominate our Friday night with MMA action. This coming week, even without the UFC holding an event will once again be stacked as Bellator, Resurrection Fighting Alliance, The Ultimate Fighter and the World Series of Fighting will all be holding events.
As the UFC takes a little break from the action, Bellator took center stage again this past week as it continued its seventh season. Along with Bellator there is plenty of MMA news this week, including the next coaches for The Ultimate Fighter season 17 and BAMMA announcing the match-ups for their upcoming BAMMA 11 card.
This week’s MMA Link Club continues where we left off last week, recapping some of last week’s events as well as hitting on the action from this past weekend. These past couple weeks have been wall to wall Mixed Martial Arts, but we got you covered.
What a crazy week in MMA it was last week. While the weekend offered several options for the fans to choose from the week as a whole was yet another injury filled bizarre week in MMA. The UFC had two fights scrapped within 24 hours of the UFC on FX 5 taking place in Minnesota, Strikeforce lost another headliner to injury and did I mention there were a ton of fights happening as well?
This past weekend was stacked with MMA. Friday night saw the start of Bellator’s seventh season with Bellator 74, XFC 20 on AXS TV and another episode on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson. On Saturday morning the UFC was in Nottingham, England for the UFC on FUEL TV 5 and in the night-cap was Strikeforce from Sacramento…… oops wait nevermind.
This past week in MMA saw the return of the UFC as they held UFC 152 after the long break caused by the cancellation of UFC 151. The event was solid and rest assured that wasn’t the Octagon withdraws talking. Luckily the fans won’t have to wait too long for the next UFC event because the Octagon headed to Nottingham, England and the UFC on Fuel TV 5 immediately after the lights were turned off in Toronto, Canada.
After a busy weekend on MMA, its UFC fight week as the Octagon returns after a long break this Saturday with UFC 152. The packed weekend was a welcome sight with Legacy FC 14, BAMMA 10 and the premiere of The Ultimate Fighter that was a fitting warm up for the upcoming event.
