Last week’s TUF 17 episode saw Josh Samman get the second win for Team Jones by knocking out Tor Troeng in the first round. With Team Sonnen is still up 3-2 heading into the final two fights before the wildcard, Jon Jones selected Clint Hester vs. Jimmy Quinlan to try to even the score.
After Kelvin won a huge upset over the veteran Bubba in the previous week’s TUF 17 episode, Team Darkside matched up Tor “The Hammer” Troeng versus Josh Samman. This episode starts off with Bubba being very hard on himself but giving tons of credit to Kelvin for never stopping and having no quit in him.
Coming off the loss to Kelvin Gastelum last week, Team Jones is already talking about Bubba McDaniel being one of the TUF 17 wildcard fighters to get a second chance. Team Sonnen has won three of the four bouts so far and picked Tor Troeng to take on Josh Samman in hopes of keeping control.
With Collin’s win over Kevin during last week’s TUF 17 episode, Team Jones gained control of the fight pick. Bubba who was the most experienced in the house picked out Kelvin who was the youngest in the house. We actually thought this was going to be the first matchup in week one, but they went after Luke instead. Kelvin was so sure he was fighting he actually ran out to the face-off in week one.

The TUF 17 episode starts off with Adam coming back from the hospital and about jumps into the shower with Uriah cracking jokes and being his normal self. He said he didn’t really remember that he even fought. I still feel like he was doing pretty well before that knockout, Adam gained a lot of respect from all of us.
Tuesday night’s Episode 4 of TUF 17 drew an average audience of 1.2 million in the overnight ratings falling closely on par with the season average of 1.3 million viewers per episode. Episode 4 saw Team Jones earn its victory, and gain control of the picks when Collin Hart defeated Kevin Casey by controlling him on the ground for two uneventful rounds.
