Titan Fighting Championship 20 Main Card Results

The fight card changed more than even their own website could keep up with, but that didn’t stop the fights from being exciting. Two fighters came into tonight looking to make an impression on those possibly watching, in hopes it would land them back in the big show. When it was all said and done though, they went home wondering what happened and a late replacement burst onto the scene.

135 lbs.: Andrew Whitney defeated Laramie Schaffer by 3^rd rd. KO (Flying Knee)

• Schaffer was winning the bout until 20+ seconds into the third round when a flying knee turned the lights out on Whitney.

265 lbs.: Justyn Riley defeats Alex Huddleston by 2^nd rd. TKO

• The not so graceful Huddleston looked good in the opening round, almost finishing the fight multiple times. Once the two gassed it was all Riley until the referee stepped in to end the fight.

165 lbs.: James Krause defeats Sean Wilson 1^st rd. Submission (Guillotine)

• Krause was looking to stand against Wilson but when the takedown presented itself he took it and shortly after that Wilson was tapping out.

145 lbs.: Anthony Gutierrez defeats Shane Hutchinson by 1^st rd. Submission (Choke)

• Gutierrez made it look so easy, taking the fight down and slipping in a choke 95 seconds into the fight. Time for a step up in competition…..

265 lbs.: Eddie Sanchez defeats Brett Rogers Split decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27)

• Rogers looked to make a statement and show Dana White he belongs in the UFC. That’s not going to happen as he did more leaning on Sanchez then throwing his heavy hands. Sanchez threw some good leg kicks but also did look impressive but got the decision.

160 lbs.: Dakota Cochrane defeated Jamie Varner by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

• The most competitive fight of the night and also the biggest upset of the night as the late replacement, Cochrane, out worked the former WEC champion the entire fight. Varner never looked comfortable and while he showed a glimpse of his old self, they were few and far between. Watch out for this kid!
