Ask any MMA fan what’s happening this weekend and you’ll more than likely get “UFC 167” as the response. You couldn’t fault them though since it is the promotions 20th anniversary PPV and all, but like most Saturday nights the UFC isn’t the only ones putting on MMA action.

While you might think this weekend is absent of MMA action but in today’s MMA landscape you just are not looking hard enough. Tonight for example you have Legacy fighting Championships 22 on AXS TV but look even harder and you’ll likely find some local MMA action taking place near you.
The ballroom inside the Win-River Casino began to fill up as the doors were opened one hour before Rogue Fights got started. The fight card for the night consisted of eight amateur bouts with one title fight and two professional bouts. Fighters from California, Washington and Oregon stepped into the cage looking to showcase their skills for the fans in attendance.
This weekend in Redding, California Rogue Fights presents Battle Royale. A mix of nine amateur and two professional bouts will take place inside the Win-River Casino.
Last weekend Rogue Fights was at the Win-River Casino in Redding, California for “Ultimate River Throwdown”. The 11 bout fight card featured both amateur and professional MMA action with several exciting finishes. None was more exciting than the first round one-punch knockout by amateur fighter Josh Coleman though.
Hector Sandoval (5-1), fighting for Urijah Faber’s Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, CA, won a unanimous decision over Robby Schepps of Team Quest in Redding, CA. Sandoval broke his right hand early in round one, but that didn’t stop him from dominating Schepps in strikes. The flyweights both had numerous submissions attempts, but neither could finish, so the judges decided.
Rogue Fights returns to the Win-River Casino in Redding, CA next weekend with 12 pro and amateur MMA fights. Mixed in amongst the fights will be two title fights, one in the middleweight divisions and the other in the lightweight.
Coming off a successful event on April 21st Rogue Fights returns to the Win-River Casino in Redding, California on July 28th. Rogue Fights: Freedom Fights will feature 13 amateur and professional bouts with fighters with the top gyms on the west coast. Among the stacked will be four title fights, two will be amateur and the other two pro, as well as many returning fighters from the last Rogue Fights event.
