Every season of the Ultimate Fighter offers up a mixture of talent. You got the young talent looking to make a big splash, the fighters that have worked their way up the MMA ladder and then you there are the ones who’ve had a taste of the limelight and are looking to get back. The latter is where Kansas City, Missouri’s James Krause falls into.

Krause was announced as one of the 32 lightweights that will be competing on the upcoming 15th season of The Ultimate Fighter. Having stepped into the cage for the WEC and Bellator in the past, Krause has been right there before and it’s been a long road for him as he prepares for the chance of a lifetime.

Aside from appearing with those top promotions, he’s also tried out for the Ultimate Fighter multiple times before finally breaking through this season.“I’ve tried out like three times now and I’ve always gotten really really close, but I’ve always tried out for 170 lbs. and they’d always bitch about my weight and stuff,” Krause explained.

At the “correct” weight now, Krause joins 31 other fighters who will all step into the Octagon next Friday to fight their way into the house and onto the show. Knowing many of the 31 fighters already, Krause felt confident enough to say, “there is really no one on that list that I feel I cannot beat.”

Having not made it onto The Ultimate Fighter previously could be seen as a blessing in disguise though as James explained he has a hard time keeping a secret and is a horrible liar so it’s a good thing for him it’s live this year. As for the new format and new a home for the show, Krause reiterates his issue bending the truth but also claimed it to be a little bitter-sweet but with some pluses and some minuses.

“I’m happy it’s on FX and to have the opportunity to showcase my skills.” Krause further explained.

How much he’ll get to showcase those skills will come down to the luck of the draw on March 9th. A win and its either Team Cruz or Team Faber while a loss is a roadblock on that long road he’s been traveling on.

Tune is on March 9th to watch James Krause on the season premiere of The Ultimate Fighter: Live on FX and mark sure you follow him on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/TheJamesKrause and on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/thejameskrause.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
