UCMMA 28 Event Event Review

It’s the hottest day of the year so far and the temperature has gone through the roof here at the Troxy (and we’re not just talking about the Cage Girls) as fight fans prepare for the UCMMA 28 main event. Before that though, there is the small matter of an impressive undercard to get through.

Che Mills: The School of Hard Knocks

He may be known as “beautiful” but Gloucester, England welterweight fighter Che ‘Beautiful’ Mills returns to the cage at UFC 145 this weekend with MMA fans knowing there is more to this man than just looks. Roll the clock back to November 5th 2011 and UFC 138 where Mills took on and destroyed San Diego brawler Chris Cope in just under 40 seconds of the first round of his UFC debut. Talking ahead of that fight, Mills admitted he was “living his dream” and with only four defeats out of nineteen bouts, you wouldn’t bet against the British battler this weekend.

UCMMA 27 – UK vs. USA!

UCMMA returns for its next event at London’s Troxy Arena this weekend as nations collide with the UK taking on the USA as “Big” Ben Smith is challenged by New Yorker, Neil “King Kong” Bittong for one step closer to the Light-Heavyweight title. Fight fans can also expect more fireworks when Middleweight K1 champion Louis “KO” King once again looks to take another title as he takes on kickboxer AJ Woodhall for the vacant Light Heavyweight K1 title.

Injury forces two late changes to BAMMA 9 Fight Card

Ahead of their 24th March event, BAMMA promoters have announced two changes to their impressive fight card. The BAMMA 9 event will now see Matt Ewin replace Nick Nembhard and Mark Tucker replace Lewis Long. Matt Ewin will be stepping in to face Leeroy Barnes; while Tucker is set to confront Tom Breese.
