Tonight’s Bellator 69 fight card showcased two of the best female fighters in the world, and it was an incredibly fun and close fight for fans worldwide to enjoy. Aguilar improved her MMA record to 14-4 and win streak to five, with her last loss a heavily disputed decision loss for Zoila Grugel. Fuji on the other hand dropped her second close decision loss in 27 fights taking her off the kingpin status of the straw weight division.

Bellator is back today with some very exciting fights at Bellator 68 as the featherweight tournament will come to an end in the night main event. Daniel Straus (19-4) will meet submission specialist Marlon Sandro (22-3) in what may end up being Bellator’s best fight so far this season. Both fighters have a strong set of skills that make this match worth watching to even the most casual MMA fan.

After longer than a year off due to an undisclosed injury, John Hathaway (16-1) returned to his fighting ways at last weekend UFC on FOX 3. Hathaway faced the tough German Pascal Krauss, a formerly undefeated rising prospect out of team Roufusport. In the fight Hathaway proved to have the more effective striking and grappling by completely dominating Krauss for a unanimous decision.

Jamie Varner makes his long-awaited return to the UFC on short notice to face an incredibly tough and undefeated star in Edison Barbosa. Varner (19-6-1) will look to take whatever chance the UFC gives him when he goes toe to toe with Barbosa (10-0), the man with one of the nastiest KO’s so far this year. Varner is no rookie to the sport and while many doubt him, he was the longest lasting WEC champ and has always been involved with good fights.

MMA Fans were greeted this Saturday morning to some great live and free overseas MMA action. Super Fight League held its second event in India, hosting some of MMA stars who have fallen slightly off the main stage and are looking for big wins to get back into the big leagues. Herb Dean was on hand to help referee eight bouts streaming live on YouTube.

Many fans of Bellator are buzzing about recent upsets and how they might see a few more down the line during season 6. The Bellator 64 main event between Ben Askren and Douglas Lima may not produce an upset but might be the fight many think it will.

April will be a month that quiets the spoiled MMA fans who have been whining vicariously through twitter and the forums about not having jam-packed weeks of Mixed Martial Arts goodness. The long absence of Saturday’s without a UFC event will end with two events in the month of April. Between the return of the UFC and the continuation of Bellator’s sixth season there are several top fights to choose from in April.

In what many can call the most exciting night of MMA action this year, Bellator had a hidden gem and some stunning results to add to the mayhem. In what seems to be the standout organization outside of Zuffa, Bellator had a champ fall tonight in one heck of a war.
