Tara LaRosa Shark Fights 14 Co Main Event: Tara LaRosa vs Carina Damm

Coming up this Friday, March 11, the fourteenth installment of Shark Fights comes to you live from the Fair Park Coliseum in Lubbock, Texas. Headlining this card is former IFL/UFC fighter Matt “Suave” Horwich as he takes on another former UFC fighter in Danillo “Indio” Villefort.  The original Co-Main Event, Houston “The Assassin” Alexander vs. James “The Sandman” Irvin, was canceled after Alexander suffered an injury during training and Irvin failed a drug test. Not to worry though, a new Co-Main Event has been put together and the card will go down as planned.

Stepping up to fill in the empty Co-Main Event slot are two Top Ten 125 pound female fighters. Number three ranked Tara LaRosa (19-2) will face off against number six ranked Carina “Beauty But The Beast” Damm (15-5). LaRosa, who has picked up the majority of her victories by way of submission, will have her hands full with Damm who is a BJJ Black Belt. Damm is coming off back-to-back losses and will try her best to avoid three in a row for the first time in her career and prevent LaRosa from earning her twentieth victory.  With LaRosa being ranked as the number two pound-for-pound female fighter in the world, a win over her would greatly increase Damm’s stock within the WMMA world as well as the 125 pound division.

Shark Fights 14 will be broadcast live tomorrow night on HDNet. Other bouts to be shown include: Lucas Lopes vs. Mikel Bronzoulis, Alex Cisne vs. Eric Davila and Sean Shakour vs. Joseph Sandoval.
