This past year was yet another really good one for the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. The UFC introduced the women’s bantamweight division, Champions fell while stars began to rise and promotions like, Bellator, Invicta FC, WSOF and the XFC continued to grow.

Last night’s UFC Fight Night 33 was a night of brutal knockouts and stellar bouts across the board in Australia, with stand-out performances from key players. With several title hopes living or dying by their success, let’s look at how the night played out and who stood out at UFC Fight Night 33.
The promotions third to last event of 2013 will be headlined by a five round (not that it will last that long) main event between heavyweights Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva. While the New Zealander (Hunt) is the main attraction, the rest of the UFC Fight Night 33 card is filled with local talent, both new & familiar faces.
The UFC will travel abroad once again this weekend for the UFC Fight Night 33. Instead of Brazil, this time they are touching down in Brisbane, Australia, with a slew of Aussie fighters chomping at the bit to fight on the big show. Our main event features Aussie legend Mark Hunt, as he looks to keep afloat at the top of the division, facing Brazilian monster Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
A great night of fights is now in the books and a handful of fighters earned some extra cash with their UFC 160 performances. UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez retained his title but his dominate performance wasn’t enough to earn him a bonus.
