Gary Shaw is one of the most influential figures in boxing. He served on the New Jersey Athletic Commission for almost thirty years before becoming a promoter. Between 2006 and 2008 Shaw played a critical role with the mixed martial arts promotion Elite XC. Since Elite XC’s closing in 2008, Shaw has focused primarily on managing boxers, but his name can’t seem to stray too far from MMA.

NY Legalization of MMA Goes Another Round
