UFC on FOX 3 Bold Predictions

Still working out what will work best on network TV the UFC returns to FOX this Saturday with the UFC on FOX 3 from East Rutherford, New Jersey. The third installment on FOX has four main card bouts that should have a little bit of everything to showcase the sport and the UFC to new and old fans watching on network television.

The night’s main event will be a lightweight brawl between Ultimate Fighter winner Nate Diaz and New Jersey native Jim Miller. Both fighters are coming off solid wins and leading up to the fight UFC President Dana White has stated that should Diaz win, he’d be up next for a title shot against the winner of the rematch between Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar. Miller, who just two fights ago lost a title shot bid to now champion Henderson was not guaranteed a title shot with a win.

Speaking of title shots, should Johny Hendricks defeat Josh Koscheck in the night’s co-main event he too will be in line for a title shot in the welterweight division. Like Miller Koscheck has also not been given the same guarantee, but things change quickly in the UFC and should Koscheck win he’d not be too far off from a title shot. These two have been doing their fair share of trash talking leading up to the fight and that should easily spill into the Octagon come Saturday.

Rounding out the main card will be a middleweight bout between Alan Belcher and Rousimar Palhares and a heavyweight fight featuring Pat Barry against Lavar Johnson.

The preliminary card will have the first two bouts streaming on Facebook before moving over to Fuel TV for the remaining six fights.

Coming off UFC 145 where we went 7-4 with our predictions our overall record improved to 56-47 (54%). Still nothing to brag about but it only takes one event to ruin the winning percentage and we’ve been digging out of that hole ever since. Now onto out UFC on FOX 3 predictions:
