No UFC or Strikeforce? Bellator not doing it for you? Well, have no worries MMA fans. Introducing World Series of Fighting, the world’s newest MMA promotion which is set to make its debut this Saturday, November 3rd.

Unlike other MMA promotions,World Series of Fighting is debuting on a major sports network. NBC Sports has taken the leap of faith and is hoping to cash in on the debut promotion. Not only does WSOF have a partnership with NBC in-place, but they have a star-studded roster of former UFC fighters prepared to take the reins.

WSOF 1 236x300 Sefo and NBC Sports bring World Series of Fighting to forefrontStarting at the top, President Ray Sefo is a well-known and well-respected name in the fight community. As a former K-1 and MMA fighter, Sefo is well versed in combat sports and knows what it takes to be a champion. This has helped in his quest to find the right fighters for WSOF.

He has brought along the likes of Andrei Arlovski, Anthony Johnson and Miguel Torres to get the upstart promotion going. Along with big names inside the cage, WSOF will have Bas Rutten and Todd Harris calling all the action cage side.

With this much star power associated to their debut event, it is no wonder that many expect WSOF 1 to be a success. But at a time when there are countless MMA promotions and a low success rate, only time can tell if this will be one of the few to find the hypothetical pot of gold.

It all begins November 3rd on NBC Sports. This could turn into a great partnership and lead to high ratings and fat wallets for all involved. That is if the world catches on to what Sefo and World Series of Fighting is doing.
