UFC ON FOX 8: Johnson vs. Moraga Bold Predictions
The UFC returns to free TV this weekend with UFC on FOX 8: Johnson vs. Moraga in Seattle, Washington. The fight card has seen over a half-dozen changes to it but overall the UFC on FOX 8 card still holds its own amongst past FOX cards.
Headlining his second Fox card is the UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who defeated John Dodson back in January at the UFC on FOX 6. Johnson is 3-0-1 as a flyweight and will be making his second title defense. The champ will be facing the relatively unknown fighter John Moraga who since arriving in the UFC has gone 2-0 but has yet to fight on a main card. He’ll be closing the show on Saturday in the biggest fight of his career thus far and could make himself a household name with an upset win over the champion.
The UFC on FOX 8 main card though also has two welterweight fights that could land one of the winners in a number one contenders fight later this year. Top ranked Jake Ellenberger and Rory MacDonald will look horns in the night’s co-main event, while the brawler Robbie Lawler takes on late replacement Bobby Voelker. Opening the UFC on FOX 8 main card will be Liz Carmouche making her second Octagon appearance against newcomer, Jessica Andrade.
Along with the four main card bouts the UFC on FOX 8 will also feature eight preliminary bouts, two opening things on Facebook and the remaining six will air on FX.
