Last week the UFC introduced the latest version of their long running MMA reality series with debut of TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia. From a cool looking log cabin in the middle of nowhere (somewhere in Canada), the eight welterweights and eight middleweights met the coaches and began their journey.
With no elimination bouts there was no need for picking teams so last weeks episode got right into the tournament, starting with a welterweight matchup. Team Canada went with Kajan Johnson, who retained control for his team with a first round submission over Brendan O’Reilly from Team Australia.
Tonight’s episode 2 will feature the first middleweight bout as Team Canada picked Elias Theodorou to face Team Australia’s Zein Saliba. Theodorou will look to keep control for his team while Saliba will look to get his team on the board and grab control of the picks.
