Hendricks & Story Put Winning Streaks on the Line at TUF Finale

Former Oklahoma State wrestler Johny Hendricks (9-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) will lock horns with rising star Ricky “Horror” Story (11-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in a Welterweight show down on December 4^th at The Ultimate Fighter season finale. This fight provides a ton of intrigue and should not disappoint as both fighters are on a tear and riding 4 fight win streaks.

Hendricks continues to improve on his transition from All American collegiate wrestler to MMA fighter. The Team Takedown star is coming off a second round TKO victory over Charlie Brenneman at UFC 117 and a decision victory earlier this year over T.J. Grant.

Story is entering this bout fresh off of what some would consider the biggest victory of his career, where he TKO’d Dustin Hazelett at UFC 117. This will be Story’s fourth fight in the Octagon this year and he is looking to remain undefeated in 2010.

Both fighters are known for tremendous conditioning and non-stop action. Hendricks will continue to implement his elite wrestling skills and attempt to ground and pound Story. After all, Hendricks is the owner of only one submission victory in his career.

Story’s striking continues to advance each time he enters the cage. In order to stifle Hendricks’ wrestling, expect Story to keep the fight standing, using a combination of leg kicks and quick exchanges which will allow him to grind out a win. Story’s only defeats have come at the hand of wrestlers and grapplers, so Hendricks poses a major threat to Story.

Another interesting fact that may play into the outcome is Story has never been stopped, with all three of Story’s losses coming via decision. The winner will definitely put himself on the radar in the UFC Welterweight division.
