UFC on FX 5: Browne vs. Bigfoot Tickets on Sale this week

As the UFC prepares for Saturday’s UFC 150, tickets for the October 5th UFC on FX 5 event go on sale this week. The promotions first trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota will be headlined by a heavyweight five-round non-title fight between the undefeated Travis Browne and former Strikeforce fighter Antonio Silva.

Browne (13-0-1) is coming off a quick submission win over another former Strikeforce heavyweight Chad Griggs at UFC 145. The win improved his record to 4-0-1 inside the Octagon with all but one of those wins coming via first round stoppage. Silva (16-4) lost his UFC debut against the former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at UFC 146 and is looking to break a two fight losing streak. The former EliteXC heavyweight champion holds notable wins over Ricco Rodriguez, Andrei Arlovski and Fedor Emelianenko in the opening round of last year’s Strikeforce heavyweight Grand Prix.

Tickets for the UFC on FX 5 go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 10th through Ticketmaster. Presale begins on Wednesday, August 8th for Fight Club members and Thursday, August 9th for UFC Newsletter subscribers.
