Rogue Fights: Night of Champions Results and Pictures
The Win-River Casino in Redding, California played host to Saturday’s (April 21st) Rogue Fights: Night of Champions. The 12 bout card saw 11 finishes that kept the full house of MMA fans thoroughly entertained.
The one fight that did go the distance was also the un-official fight of the night between Robert Schepps and Chuck Fordyce. For 15 minutes these bantamweights went back and forth with each fighter seemingly on the edge of a finish multiple times.

Rogue Fights will return to the Win-River Casino on July 28th for another night full of MMA action. Tickets will go on sale a month before the event and can be purchase at Roguefights.com.
Amateur Fights:
185 lbs.: Josh Gill defeated Adam De Simone by 1st rd. KO
135 lbs.: Brennon Crow defeated Travis Whitley by 1st rd. Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
- Crow held the choke well after the tap and the referee put him in a choke of his own.
175 lbs.: David Reed defeated Ryan Wilson by 1st rd. Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
- Reed was a little too amped after the win and taunted his opponent a little by standing over him.
135 lbs. Title Fight: Brendon Raftery defeated Adam Cruz by 2nd rd. Submission (Standing RNC)
170 lbs.: Ignacio Medel defeated Otto Mattix by 1st rd. KO
155 lbs.: Ashton Piece defeated Nick Bates by 1st rd TKO
- Piece got away with just a warning for a major hold of the cage.
175 lbs.: David Sallee defeated Mike Marsiano by 1st rd. KO
- It was a flash KO off an elbow but Marsiano was upset with the stoppage.
155 lbs. Title Fight: Chris Hibbitts defeated Chad Mertens by 1st rd KO
- Hibbitts dropped Mertens with a kick just 9 seconds into the fight
150 lbs.: Jeremy Remington defeated Will Hodges by 3rd rd. Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
Pro Fights
120 lbs. Female bout: Avery Vilche defeated Maria Andverede by 1st rd. Submission (Armbar)
135 lbs.: Robert Schepps defeated Chuck Fordyce by Split Decision
- The only fight to go to the judge’s decision, though it was a back and forth action-packed fight.
215 lbs.: Bill Widler defeated Gerald James by 1st rd TKO
