After long layoff Rob Emerson Returns on March 9th

| February 16, 2012 | Reply

Former UFC fighter and TUF alum Robert Emerson returns to the cage next month after dealing with nagging injuries that has kept him out of action for over a year. Emerson last fought on January 29th of 2011, losing a unanimous decision to Justin Salas at Full Force Fighting.

Emerson (11-10, 1nc) fought seven times inside the Octagon and holds notable wins against Keita Nakamura, Manny Gamburyan and Phillipe Nover. He also fought top lightweight Gray Maynard in his UFC debut that ended in a strange no contest as Maynard forced Emerson to tap after being slammed, but the slam also knocked Maynard unconscious.

In his return to the cage, Emerson will be fighting Savant Young (10-8) on March 9th at Tachi Palace Fights 12: Second Coming. Young is coming off a win against Robert Washington at the last Tachi Palace Fights in December.

Emerson has gone 2-1 since being released from the UFC and will look to get back on track next month and possibly another shot inside the Octagon.

My brain child is MMAValor, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally it’s here. Been an MMA fan since TUF season one (play catch up all the time) and the obsession started to grow like a weed and as the sport grows so does the love for the sport. I’m a jack of all trades, a very organized person that rides an emotional roller coaster daily.
