Anthony Johnson Finds a new home with Titan Fighting Championship

It didn’t take long for Anthony “Rumble” Johnson for find a new cage to home. Johnson and Titan Fighting Championship revealed that the former UFC welterweight and middleweight has sign with Titan and will headline their upcoming TFC 22 card on May 25th.

“I’m back, and I’m fighting May 25 with Titan Fighting Championship, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to headline this event for all the fans in Kansas City and watching that night live on HDNet,” said Johnson. “I am so pumped to be fighting again, and I’m ready to take on whatever 185 pounder they put in front of me.”

Johnson (10-4) last fought on January 14th, making his middleweight debut against Vitor Belfort at UFC 142. Before he stepped into the Octagon though he missed weight and things went downhill from there for him. Belfort submitted Johnson in the opening round and less than 24 hours later he was released from the UFC. Johnson went 7-3 during his time with the UFC with notable wins over Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Dan Hardy and Charlie Brenneman.

Johnson’s opponent at TFC 22 has yet to be determined but Titan Fighting Championship is expected to announce Johnson’s opponent next week.
