Long List of UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit Medical Suspensions

Nearly 70% (15 of 22) of the fighters on the UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit card was issued medical suspensions today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Of the 15 fighters to be suspended, seven of those could be out of action for up to six months. One of the seven fighters that avoided suspension was Nick Diaz who lost in the main event to Carlos Condit by Unanimous Decision.UFC 143 took place this past Saturday, Feb. 4, at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Here is the outcome of each UFC 143 fight along with each fighter’s suspensions:

Carlos Condit defeated Nick Diaz by Unanimous Decision

  • Carlos Condit: Suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 due to a right-cheek laceration
  • Nick Diaz: Not Suspended

Fabricio Werdum defeated Roy Nelson by Unanimous Decision

  • Fabricio Werdum: Suspended until Aug. 3 due to a right-quadriceps contusion, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 for precautionary reasons
  • Roy Nelson: Suspended until April 5 due to a forehead laceration

Josh Koscheck defeated Mike Pierce by Split Decision

  • Josh Koscheck: Not Suspended
  • Mike Pierce: Suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 due to a right-eye laceration

Renan Barão defeated Scott Jorgensen by Unanimous Decision

  • Renan Barao: Not Suspended
  • Scott Jorgensen: Suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 for precautionary reasons

Ed Herman defeated Clifford Starks by 2nd rd. Submission

  • Ed Herman: Suspended until Aug. 3 due to possible injuries to both hands, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 for precautionary reasons
  • Clifford Starks: Suspended until Aug. 3 due to a left-hand/finger injury, though a doctor can clear him early following an X-ray

Dustin Poirier defeated Max Holloway by 1st rd. Submission

  • Dustin Poirier: Not Suspended
  • Max Holloway: Suspended until Feb. 26 with no contact until Feb. 19 due to a right-eye laceration

Edwin Figueroa defeated Alex Caceres by Split Decision

  • Edwin Figueroa: Suspended until Aug. 3 due to a groin injury, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 for precautionary reasons
  • Alex Cacaeres: Suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 for precautionary reasons

Matt Brown defeated Chris Cope by 2nd rd KO

  • Matt Brown: Not Suspended
  • Chris Cope: Suspended until April 5 with no contact until March 21 for precautionary reasons

Matthew Riddle defeated Henry Martinez by Split Decision

  • Matt Riddle: Suspended until Aug. 3 due to a broken right-index finger, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 26 due to a left-eye laceration
  • Henry Martinez: Suspended until Aug. 3 due to a possible right-foot injury, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, suspended until March 21 with no contact until March 6 due to a left-nasal laceration

Rafael Natal defeated Michael Kuiper by Unanimous Decision

  • Rafael Natal: Not suspended
  • Michael Kuiper: Suspended until Aug. 3 due to a possible left-foot injury, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, suspended until March 6 with no contact until Feb. 25 for precautionary reasons

Stephen Thompson defeated Dan Stittgen by 1st KO

  • Stephen Thompson: Not Suspended
  • Dan Stittgen: Suspended until March 21 with no contact until March 6 for precautionary reasons
